Specialty
One of my prominent specialties is treating trauma and PTSD symptoms (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), which can have a life changing impact. Each person’s traumatic experience is unique to the individual as other factors in one’s life such as relationships, personality, coping skills, strengths, risk factors, and outlook on life can influence how a person manages their trauma. I have contributed and worked at the Trauma Research Institute during my graduate years and completed my doctorate degree by doing extensive research (dissertation) on trauma-related resiliency factors amongst those who have been through child abuse, as well as years of clinical experience working with trauma victims. Additionally, I have presented on the topic of trauma at conferences, trainings for hospitals, and trainings for clinics. I have also worked with the Victims of Crime Program for those being referred through the DA’s office.
